Ubisoft USPTO filing reveals likely name of next installment in its tactical Tom Clancy shooter series, due out after Q1 2010. Ever since it was first revealed in January--and officially announced in April--Ghost Recon 4 has been shrouded in mystery. No details on the next installment in the Tom Clancy-inspired tactical shooter series have been revealed other than its release window, which will be sometime after March 2010. Even the game's name is a working title, obscuring whether it is a direct sequel to the last installment in the series, 2007's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. That mystery deepened in October, when the Australian Classification Board classified a game called "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator." Thanks largely to a massive shortfall created by its Major League Baseball licensing deal, Take-Two trimmed $25 million from its fourth-quarter sales projections and cut earnings per share guidance by $0.25. Investors responded immediately, as Take-Two's stock subsequently shed 30 percent of its value. However, in September, Interplay's claim to the Fallout franchise, which it launched in 1997, came into question, after current license holder Bethesda Softworks leveled a bevy of breach-of-contract charges at the ailing publisher.
